Coastal Escape at Jelly Bay

Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by a peaceful landscape just steps from the property. From the oversized back deck, enjoy sweeping views of the wetlands along the bayside of the peninsula — a prime spot for birdwatching along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail. You’ll also have a clear view of the intercoastal canal, where ships pass regularly. The sunsets from this deck are absolutely breathtaking — it’s the reason we fell in love with the home. Inside, a short flight of stairs leads to an open-concept living room and kitchen designed for connection. The oversized couch faces the bar and kitchen, making it easy to gather, cook, and relax together. A large wall-mounted TV with a swivel mount allows you to angle it however you like — perfect for movie nights or catching the game from anywhere in the room. This two-bedroom home comfortably sleeps six guests with three queen-size beds — one in the primary bedroom and two in a spacious bunk setup in the guest room. Each bedroom includes its own TV. The primary suite offers a cozy, romantic feel with soft, neutral tones, while the guest room adds a fun, beachy vibe with vintage touches like a 1970s surfboard and a unique tree-wood lamp. Both full bathrooms feature tub/shower combinations and spacious vanities. We provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, Q-tips, cotton balls, face towels, and a hair dryer for your convenience. Above the bedrooms, you’ll find a loft space ideal for remote work or quiet reading, complete with a desk and a cozy vintage chair. Please note: the loft is accessed by a ladder that requires moderate agility. It is securely anchored but may not be suitable for elderly guests or those with mobility limitations. The property also includes a full RV hookup with direct sewer cleanout and both 3- and 4-prong electrical connections. Simply park alongside the garage on the concrete and gravel drive. This is perfect for larger gatherings (additional $50 per night — please let us know in advance if you plan to use it). Guests also have access to the neighborhood pool. The gate key (attached to a backscratcher so it doesn’t get misplaced!) is located in the kitchen cabinet next to the microwave. The beach is visible from the front door and just a five-minute walk or one-minute drive away. With a beach pass (available at local stores), you can park directly on the sand. Spend the day sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, or even enjoying a beach fire when permitted. We want everything available to you that we would want ourselves. Some of the things we took care to add to the house are: - Filtered drinking water - we installed a water filter on the cold line of the kitchen sink. - Comfortable beds - we picked beds that we enjoy sleeping in ourselves. We think you'll have your best night of sleep while staying here. - Intentional design - we started from scratch when we put this house together, picking colors and textures that work hand in hand. When you're here you can't help but appreciate the continuity.
